Join us for a weekend of HEMA training, sparring, and structured combat games at Eurasia Exchange in Istanbul — where Europe meets Asia. As a bridge between two continents and traditions, Eurasia Exchange brings together practitioners of all levels for workshops, feud matches, and playful challenges built around learning, testing, and exchanging skills.

Activities

Workshops

There will be numerous training sessions led by experienced instructors from various countries.

Feud Matches

Arranged duels where we select participant-submitted feuds and bring two fighters together to settle the matter in the field.

Wildcard Tournament

Single-elimination tournament where each match is fought under a different set of rules and conditions.

King of the Hill

A fast-paced sparring activity where fighters defend their position against a stream of challengers.

Single Day Pass

Instructors

Instructor lineup will be announced soon. The event will feature experienced HEMA practitioners from international clubs, leading structured training sessions across all three days.

Istanbul

Venue

The training venue is currently being finalized. The event will take place in a large indoor sports hall in Istanbul, designed for safe fencing, sparring, and movement-based training. The exact location will be announced soon.

Travel

Istanbul is a major international hub with frequent flights from across Europe and beyond. The city is well connected, and reaching the event venue from the airport is straightforward by taxi or public transport. Full travel guidance will be provided after registration.

FAQ

No. The event is open to all levels. Sessions and formats are designed to be accessible while still challenging for experienced practitioners.

Participants are expected to bring their own protective gear and sparring weapons. Limited training equipment may be available for those without full gear, but participation cannot be guaranteed in all activities.

The event will be conducted in English to ensure accessibility for international participants.

A detailed schedule will be shared closer to the event date as final logistics are confirmed.

They are structured and engaging formats designed to be fun, interactive, and skill-based. Some include competitive elements, but the focus is on participation and experience. The results will not be submitted to Hemaratings.
